Waterjet cutting is an erosion process using a high pressure jet of water 0.6mm in diameter. Abrasive is fed into the water stream and self pierces for holes and internal cut-outs.
Abrasive waterjet cutting cuts just about any material from plastic to hard tool steel.
We are able to offer high production flexibility, so are pleased to accept single item, prototype cutting and repeat small batches.
Tolerance +/-0.127mm.
Variable cut finishes.
Up to 100mm thick can be cut.
Maximum part size up to 2.5m x1.4m .
No heat generated during the cutting process so no hardening or distortion in the material.
Accept drawings in DXF and other CAD formats.
