Frederick Follows Limited is a Birmingham, UK based company, originally founded by Mr. Frederick Follows back in the early 1920's. It is now run by Managing Director, Charles Rhodes and Works Manager, Martin McMahon. We are specialist manufacturers of marking tools, embossing tools and marking machines. Our marking machines and marking tools are designed for applications including security marking services and hot foiling. Our individual marking tools designed and manufactured by us for a particular function, industry standard tooling, or tooling made to your own exact specifications. This is our main area of production. Any type of marking tools can be customised to suit different materials and concave or convex forms. We offer debossing and embossing tools, designed to produce raised or sunk impressed logos. These are suitable for work on level and uneven surfaces. With a long history, Frederick Follows recognise the need for high quality design and excellent customer service. This approach has won us orders with government bodies worldwide, the MOD (Ministry of Defence) and various multinational companies. Founded in the East End of London in 1894 as M. Bolson & Co. Limited, was acquired on a management buyout by Bolsons Limited in 1983. Historically Bolsons concentrated on the production of Company Seals and embossing presses. Bolsons also produce perforators for validating voting papers and a vast range of rubber stamps. Since the Companies Act 1985 made the need for a Company Seal no longer mandatory, the demand for Company Seals has reduced, but the computerisation of artwork and production has enabled Bolsons to improve its service and speed of delivery of the Heraldic and specialised logo work. A Company Seal can be manufactured and delivered from the factory near the Bow flyover, to the City of London, within three hours of the order. Seals and presses are exported to Switzerland, Nigeria, Uganda, Australia, United States of America and The Republic of Ireland.
