Metal Injection Moulding enables the production of small components in steels, stainless and other high strength metals with complex shapes, close tolerances, smooth surface finish and finely reproduced detail. The principles of metal injection moulding are similar to plastic injection moulding - fine metal powder mixed with binder, is injection moulded in a die and the binder is then removed, to give an injection moulding in pure metal. This is sintered at high temperature to produce the finished metal injection moulding. Metal injection moulding is ideal for producing small, complex-shaped parts and fine detail, combined with excellent mechanical strengths.
